Prayers

Prayer is the way we communicate with God. The Lord wants us to have a relationship with Him. In order to have a relationship with anyone, we must communicate with them. Yes, the Lord is omniscient and He does know our thoughts, however, He desires to dwell among us. Because He is holy and we are sinful, He sent His only Son, Jesus who died for our sins and resurrected to purify from our sinful nature so we can commune with Him.

He wants to talk with us, have a relationship with each one of us and we can do that through prayer. Jesus taught how to pray to the Father. This model prayer is often referred to as the Lord's Prayer found in Matthew 6:8-13.

1. Praise & Worship

"Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name."

2. Pray God's Will

"Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven."

3. Pray for your petitions

"Give us this day our daily bread."

4. Pray for forgiveness

"And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors."

5. Pray for protection

"And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil"

6. Praise & Worship

"For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."

What Jesus taught us is to pray according to God's will. If we pray according to His will our prayers will be answered. What is His will? His Will is His Word! He promised that His Word will accomplish what He sent it to do and it will not return void!

God hears and answers our prayers! Sometimes we see the answers quickly, sometimes we have to wait and sometimes the answer is no. He is our Father and He knows what is best.

Below I have written some prayers based on the Lord's Prayer format. If you have a prayer need, please look up scriptures related to your issue and write prayers according to God's Word.
